Golden Rescue™ is in need of foster homes to care for our Goldens when they come into our programme awaiting their Forever Family.  The responsibility of a foster is to take care of all their needs and welcome them into your home as a temporary family member. Foster homes will need to make sure all medical needs are met by one of our supporting Veterinarians, provide any basic training as needed, complete a behaviour evaluation and if needed rehabilitate. You will be rewarded with the satisfaction of being a part of the placement process and determining the best match for their Forever Family and seeing them move on to their new life.

Our foster families have our complete support and a volunteer assigned to the Golden in your care is in constant contact and if the need arises for assistance from a trainer or behaviourist, that is provided immediately.

Bailey #1324 & Morgan #1325 are both nine year old males and need to be placed together.  Morgan is a happy go lucky kind of guy who thinks he’s a lap dog.  He likes his walks but is happiest when they’re short and sweet.

Bailey had a really rough start in life and he has come a long way. He loves to go for walks and really cares for his brother Morgan.  He needs an adult only home where he will get lots of love and praise.  He is ok with other dogs but when he doesn’t like something he be sure to show his displeasure.  He’s still not great with sharing toys and has to be told to be gentle when taking treats.  We are unsure how either one will react to cats as they have never been exposed.

Piper is 10 years old and Zoe is 12 years old, this Mom and daughter pair are very sweet dogs and love to go for walks and hang out in the backyard enjoying the fresh air.  No one has told them how old they are , they think they are 5 years old!

Zoe isn’t comfortable walking on hardwood floor, so carpeting or runners are a must for her. Piper has a droopy eye, it doesn’t bother her and nothing medically needs to be done.

Their foster family just love their company and the girls just love to get lots of attention.

Spencer is 7 years old, he is a very loving and gentle boy. He likes to go on a couple of short walks a day and wander around the garden for a couple of hours too. He loves attention and will come to you when he wants some love.
 
Spencer needs to go to a home where he is the only dog. He does not like to share his toys and will show he is unhappy if another dog goes near him while he is hoarding his toy pile. He needs an adult only home, loud noises and children stress him out, he is looking for a more quiet pace of life.
 
Spencer has a problem with allergies, he excessively licks his paws, occasionally scoots and is prone to ear infections. He needs a home where someone can work with him and try to eliminate the things which make his allergies flare up. Spencer is on a special gluten free and fish diet. He is a dog that needs some maintenance but he will show his gratitude by filling your life with love an laughter. Spencer is a real joy to have around and deserves that special forever home.
