Woofstock, known as the largest outdoor festival for dogs will be taking place on Saturday June 7th and Sunday June 8th in Toronto in the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood district. Our Goldens always love a party and certainly wouldn't miss the biggest dog event of the year so be sure to visit us at our booth and browse through our general store or talk with one of our volunteers who would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. You are guaranteed a warm welcome from a rescued Golden!!!

Come and enjoy a day of fun with your dog visiting the many vendors with unique items for your canine companion, or take part in some of the fun contests. On Sunday June 8th, the 5th annual K9 Rescue Me Walkathon takes place at Woofstock. A 3 km walk (or 1.5 km for senior dogs or puppy's) that kicks off at 11:00 am in support of canine rescue. What a sight it would be to see a parade of our Goldens walking that day knowing that all the money raised through your pledges goes directly to our rescued Goldens. Last year we raised over $4000 and our goal this year is to double that. To begin collecting pledges for the walk download your pledge form here click here (pdf).
You can also set up a page on Canada Helps to collect pledges electronically. Please email info@golden-rescue.net if you would like help with this. All participants are to meet at the Golden Rescue Booth located in Berczy Park at the corner of Wellington and Scott before the walk so that we can walk in a group. Please be sure all pledge cheques are made out to "Golden Rescue".
Can't make it out to the Walk-a-thon but still want to contribute? Why not sponsor one of the rescued Goldens walking that day. It's easy, just click the link below and this will take you directly to our page on Canada Helps, choose the Walk-a-thon Fund from the drop-down menu and you can now make a secure on-line pledge specifically towards a Golden walking that day.

On-line pledging through Canada Helps is available through the link below, tax receipts will be issued immediately for all pledges made through Canada Helps. For all other pledges a tax receipt will be issued for pledges over $25 and will be mailed to you after the walk.
